Návštěva tureckého doktoranda v Centru pro dokumentaci a digitalizaci kulturního dědictví

V průběhu roku 2025 navštívil Centrum pro dokumentaci a digitalizaci kulturního dědictví Filozofické fakulty Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem dvakrát doktorand a zároveň pracovník Karabük University v Turecku, Celal Eser. Ten se ve svém výzkumu zaměřuje především na dokumentaci historických staveb, a právě tato oblast jej přivedla do našeho Centra.

Během své návštěvy měl možnost seznámit se nejen s používanými technologiemi (např. 3D skenery či vícesnímková fotogrammetrie), ale také s jejich praktickou aplikací při dokumentaci významných památek. Společně se zaměstnanci Centra proto navštívil místa, kde probíhá systematická dokumentace aktuálního stavu objektů – mezi nimi klášter v Oseku či kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Ústí nad Labem.

Návštěva byla přínosná oboustranně. Celal Eser získal cenné zkušenosti s metodami a postupy, které Centrum uplatňuje v českém prostředí, a zároveň se s naším týmem podělil o poznatky ze své dosavadní práce v Turecku. Vzájemná výměna zkušeností mezi českým a tureckým prostředím je důležitá nejen v oblasti dokumentace architektury, ale také v širším kontextu památkové péče a uchovávání kulturního dědictví.

S Celalem Eserem jsme udělali i krátký rozhovor:

Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is Celal ESER. I am 29 years old. I work as a full-time research assistant at Karabük University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Art History in Turkey. I have a bachelor's degree in Architecture and a master's degree in Art History. I am currently doing a PhD in Architecture. I have completed more than half of it.

What is your specialization, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I specialise in the documentation of historical buildings and the experience of visually impaired people in the field of Architectural History. One of my favourite things to work on this subject is to create a digital twin of an existing historical building and examine it in more detail, and secondly, I like to improve the experience of visually impaired people about these places to a higher level.

You have previously visited our institution. What motivated you to return to the Centre for Documentation and Digitalisation of the Cultural Heritage?
Actually, more than one thing motivated me to do it. First and foremost, the Centre staff provided me with excellent explanatory and helpful information. Thanks to the Centre, I was able to keep abreast of current technologies, and I had the opportunity to see how my colleagues at this university work. After that, the friendliness of the staff is one of the main factors. It is worth mentioning here that the accommodation at the university dormitory is good and budget-friendly.

Centrum pro dokumentaci a digitalizaci kulturního dědictví dlouhodobě usiluje o propojování odborníků z různých zemí i oborů a o rozvoj spolupráce, která obohacuje výzkum a zároveň otevírá nové perspektivy v oblasti ochrany a prezentace kulturních památek.
