Project goal: Prepare, both linguistically and professionally, those interested from a number of Belarusian students, whose access to education has been hindered, to be admitted to the studies of the study programmes majoring in Political Science or the Humanities at the UJEP or any other higher education institute in the Czech Republic.

Target group description: Those interested in the study of political science, particularly those, whose access to education in their home country has been hindered, e.g. from families being engaged in opposing activities.

Qualification prerequisites: Completed secondary education, showing keen interest in the study programmes offered, having partial knowledge of English and willingness to learn the Czech language. These prerequisites should be expressed in the form of motivation letter.
Deadline for submitting applications: 8/ 31/ 2006

Technical details: Each student’s travel expenses (air ticket), health insurance and study stay at the University of J. E. Purkyně will be paid for by the scholarship money on accommodation, local public transport and petty expenses incurred. Additionally, students will be provided with free study literature, preparation language study aids, valued at about CZK 5,000 per student, which shall be handed over to them for their individual preparation after returning to Belarus.

Project realisation time: The Project will be realised beginning September through December 2006 (the foreign students stay in the CR will be under way beginning October through December 2006).
